SUPREME COURT JUSTICE RETIRES
Indiana Supreme Court Justice Rucker retires after serving 26 years. Governor Holcomb presented him with the Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana’s highest civilian award, which is given to people of wisdom who counsel the governor.
It was a special day for his family, all of the clerks he has worked with, and judges he has served with over the span of his career. In 1999, he was only the second African-American justice nominated by Gov. Frank O’Bannon.
